Question for Doug on accessing Comcast On Demand service via Vista Ultimate

Doug, can you confirm for me if it is at all possible to view/access the
Comcast On Demand service in Vista Ultimate connected to Comcast set-top box
via TV Tuner card? I tried this some time ago and was unable to access any
of the non-standard cable channels (recall error referring to some service
provider code...).

Current setup is a Dell XPS Gen3 machine with Hauppage dual (analog) tuners
that has worked flawlessly with the standard cable channels (02-99) while we
use the set-top box in another room connected to monitor and A/V receiver.
Plan now is to upgrade some hardware and I would like the cleanest and most
efficient hardware solution that would allow me access to our entire cable
subscription services via MC. From what I have read so far it seems ass
though it is not possible to access Comcast On Demand via MC - can you
confirm this is the case?

Yes, this is possible, but one you've accessed the On-Demand channel, you'll
have to use the Comcast remote to navigate the various menus from the STB.
Media Center does not know how to handle the On-Demand menus and navigation.
Use the MCE remote to access the on demand channel you wish, then put it
away and use the Comcast remote for the rest. If you want to record an
On-Demand program, you'll generally have to set it up as a manual recording.
