I did a windows upgrade on my hardware and am realizing that was the biggest
mistake I could ever make. I am getting an error, see below:

MsVidCtl System Broadcast Message Receiver: ehRecvr.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x53801D4f" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "read"

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I can hit either OK or Cancel and I still get the error message back every 2
seconds. How do I make this STOP??
Thanks

what exactly did you upgrade? can you uninstall the upgrade/hardware
and see if the error disappears? or supply more details?

I did a microsoft update on my hardware and used this update: Hauppauge -
Streaming Media and Broadcast - Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (26xxx)

Once I installed this everything started causing problems. I tried to find
where it was to uninstall it but can't find it in programs.

You need to got the Hauppauge Website and download and install the latest
drivers for your card. I also suggest that you download and install the
latest version of their WinTV6 application so that you can try that if you
can not get the card to work in MC.
What OS are you running? and how much memory do you have installed?

When you say you have "already done that" does that mean that you have
confirmed that the same problem occurs with WinTV6 that occurs with MC.

Are you using Windows XP? If so, try using System Restore and go back to
before you made the upgrade.
