I have a HP d5200t Vista 64 with Hauppauge built in dual TV tuner cards
HVR-1290 & HVR-1800. I am unable to tune HD (QAM) channels that I receive on
cable.
Window Update (current). all drivers (Current)
It always recognizes the following when I tune TV signals via the media
center via the auto tune option.
1. Cable (Analog 1 tuner) - It does not recognize the second digital input!!!
2. Satellite (1 tuner)
When I choose to configure the cards manually it recognizes the digital
tuner as ATSC and attempts to tune on channels 2.1, 4.1 etc. and gives the
error NO TV Signal on this channels. I receive the HD channels on RF 92-2,
93-4 etc from COMCAST (Nashville) - atleast thats what my tv tunes to!
When I attempt to add the channels manually using the "Add missing channels"
option via the "ADD DTV Channel" Media center does not allow me to specify
the frequency as 92-2. A value > 9 disables the "next button!!!
Any remedies/fixes available to get HD to work? or should I simply return my
new pc and forget about using windows as a media center. this is terribly
frustrating!!!!
