I have a WinTV-HVR-1600, model 74031. Which worked great until recently. I
have worked with Hauppauge and installed the newest drivers they recommended.
Still nothing. After searching the web and reading all the articles I could
find. I reluctently formatted my hard drive and started over. Everything
worked great again until I installed SP1 and the last (July) updates. It
failed again!. I used the restore point to the last time it worked and
recorded a program. It did not fix the problem.

Now I am just irritated at every buying Vista. WinTV supplied with card
works, but am not really happy with it compared to using MCE. Event errors
listed below, Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Another similar one. Mine stopped working on 9/11/2008, around the time I
started playing around with a Sansa Fuse and MediaFly Client. I haven't had
time to uninstall the program to see if there is a connection. Another
posting suggested using System Restore, but mine only goes back 5 days, - not
far enough. I will post results after uninstalling the MediaFly client.

It occurs to me now that I also uninstall my Hauppauge 1600 programs
recently also. I'll try reinstalling that too.

Glad you mentioned the Sansa Fuze. I too just got a Sansa Fuze and installed
the media converter. After that Media Center quit working. Probably after
the next reboot. After seeing your note I uninstalled the Sansa Fuze Media
Converter. I then started up Windows Media Center and it stated a new TV
Tuner card is found do you want to set it up. (Thinking the ASUS that came
with my PC was bad I bought a HAUPPAUGE 1600 but had the same problem.

So uninstall the Sansa Fuze media converter and it will fix your problem.
